Week 9: The God Who Guides His People
The Lord has rescued the nation of Israel from the bondage of Egypt. They have been delivered, redeemed, and healed. Now we see the Lord guiding his people by the cloud. During the day, the cloud provides covering for the people. At night, it provides light.
Thus, the Lord directs his people with his presence. They go when he moves, and they stay when he stays. The people surrender their plans and their timing to follow the Lord.
The Lord still wants to direct his people. Often, we miss out on his plans because we struggle to wait on his guidance and his timing. While we don’t have the glory cloud, we have God’s presence dwelling within us. He longs to reveal his plans, his purposes, and his timing. Will we have eyes to see him, ears to hear him, and a heart ready to obey?
