Assurance of Perfect Love

Romans 8:31-34: "What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things? Who shall bring a charge against God's elect? It is God who justifies. Who is to condemn? Christ Jesus is the one who died - more than that, who was raised - who is at the right hand of God, who is interceding for us."

If you are looking for assurance, I can think of no better passage in Scripture than Romans 8. Think of being in a courtroom. You have been summoned to stand before the judge. There is natural fear and intimidation that comes with this kind of appearance. Then, you look around the courtroom and see that everyone there is for you, is on your side. Yes, you committed a sin; you fell short of the glory of God, but everything and everyone is stacked in your favor. Jesus stands right there as your judge, your attorney, and your jury. He pleads your case perfectly. While you are indeed a sinner, he has made the perfect payment for your sin. His blood covers all your sin, washes you clean, and his Father has clothed you in the robes of righteousness so that you look just like Jesus.

You are declared righteous and free of any offense. This is not your doing but the gift of Jesus. You are perfectly secure because your righteousness cannot be lost. There is nothing, absolutely nothing that can separate you from the love of your Savior. There is nothing that can be brought against you that will stick. You are declared free in the name of Jesus Christ.
Perfect assurance in this world is found only in the person and work of Jesus. He loves you and has made the way for you to know that you are perfectly loved, accepted, and assured of eternal relationship with him.

Are you living in this assurance? God is for you! Declare it and live in this truth today.
